  I ordered a wedding cake and sugar cookies for my big day. Although the cake tasted great the look was less than perfect. The frosting had large tears and holes in it and the entire cake was lop sided and had bubbles. The decoration was all over the place, lines placed higher and lower on the tiers in a random pattern, with some lines being obviously thicker than others and not joining to one another correctly. There were no leaves on the design when there should have been. The flowers used were commissioned as butter cream but were obliviously pressed sugar, very small, and not the right type of flower. It was a very sloppy, lob sided, cake which looked as though I had done it myself. The cake board underneath it was nothing more than pieces of cardboard wrapped in tin foil not the silver tray we had ordered. The cookies were extremely thin, like sheets of paper, and tasted very heavily of almonds. There are no almonds in a sugar cookie so these must have been almond cookies not sugar. They tasted so bad no one ate them, although they were very pretty. It was very disappointing and I tried not to look at the cake or the cookies for the entire night. On top of all this communication was poor and infrequent with many problems as to what was being ordered. The design for our wedding cake was lost two weeks before the wedding and we had to come in on a holiday to discuss it again. Lastly, check which I used to pay for the whole operation was taken out a entire month after I wrote it. The baker was going through some personal things and I understand and respect that, but if she could not do our wedding cake to a wedding standard she should have told us so we could have hired another baker. Although the baker was very nice and we liked her a lot if we could do it again we would go with someone else.

  I ordered a cake for a work party. I needed a size between the quarter and the half sheet offered by a local grocery store, and Linda's cake fit the bill. What started out as an order for convenience of size, turned out to be a most delicious discovery. Everyone commented on how wonderful the cake was. We ordered a half vanilla/half chocolate cake with whipped cream frosting. The cake was moist and the frosting was light and fluffy! I cannot say enough good things about Linda's cake!
